Ben's Wish

One of the children who can be seen on the French Finger Rhyme DVD is Ben Smithson, who has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk unaided. Ben’s family are trying to raise £45000 by January 2011 for surgery in America, which might help Ben to walk unaided. Training Course

Links into Languages are offering a training course in 9 centres across the country: PO4 Classroom strategies for teachers of primary languages.  This course is important for Newly Qualified Teachers, beginners, classroom teachers and Higher Level Teaching Assistants.
This course will explore innovative classroom strategies to embed the KS2 Framework for Languages.

Fabulous news for all teachers of Spanish!  We are delighted to announce the publication of the Catherine Cheater Scheme of Work for Spanish Year 4, written by Steve Haworth.  Steve has produced a marvellous scheme of work, which features our Spanish teddies Arturo and Josefina, as well as a wonderful array of story books and other resources.  As well as a weekly lesson plan and daily parcels, there is a weekly PowerPoint presentation which features voice recordings and illustrations, together with enjoyable and challenging games to develop skills and knowledge about language.

A change of name!

In January 2009 we changed our name from TLP (Teaching and Learning Publications) Ltd to Golden Daffodils Ltd.  We love our new name - it's shorter and has a very special feel to it which, we think, reflects far better what we do.  It's happy, colourful, fun and full of hope for the future.

Golden Daffodils publishes the Catherine Cheater Schemes of Work for French for Years 3, 4, 5 and Year 6, as well as the Catherine Cheater Scheme of Work for Spanish Years 3 and 4 (by Steve Haworth). We provide other resources to support the Schemes of Work including DVDs and CDs.

We also provide training and consultancy to local authorities and schools in languages teaching and learning for both the primary and secondary sector.
