Steve Haworth

Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques

Steve retired from Golden Daffodils in September 2011.  It is typical of Steve that, to mark his retirement, he chose to walk the Camino in Spain, in order to raise money for breast cancer care at St James’s Hospital, Leeds.  You can read about this at Steve’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/steve-haworth

Steve was a trainer with an international reputation with many years experience in secondary schools, local authorities, modern languages teacher training and CPD.  He was awarded the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Government in 1999 in recognition of his contribution to French language teaching over many years.

He and Catherine had worked together for many years both through CILT and through local authorities, and in 2005 formed the partnership that was to become Golden Daffodils.

On his retirement from Golden Daffodils in September 2011, Catherine writes: Steve is not only a brilliant linguist, author and trainer, he is also one of the kindest, most generous and most loyal friends I have ever had.  His wonderful warmth and sense of humour have been a wonderful support to me.  It has been a privilege for me to work with Steve for more than ten years.
